Rooms, Studios, and Condos are the economical choice. Within one main room, you'll find a fully-equipped apartment-size kitchen, sitting area, automatic fireplace, color TV with video player and satellite, as well as sleeping; you'll also have a private bathroom, walk-in closet, and outside deck or patio with charcoal grill. Rooms with loft and loft condo units also include a second-floor with bed(s) and additional bathroom. Each unit has a regular queen bed (no wall beds!); may have another regular queen bed, a sofa bed, or day bed.
Duplex apartments are ideal for one to four people, with two separate rooms and just two units total in the building. And, with no unit next to you, windows on three sides offer plenty of natural light. Downstairs units will either have a bath with shower or bath with shower/tub; upstairs units have shower/tub combination baths. You'll also have a fully-equipped apartment-size kitchen, sitting area, automatic fireplace, color TV with video player and satellite, as well as outside deck or patio with charcoal grill. You'll have a regular queen bed; may have a sofa bed.
Cabins, cottages and vacation homes may be single or duplex, with separate living room, full-size kitchen, dining area, one to three bedrooms, and one to two baths, some with an additional half bath. Fireplaces are either standard, stone, or free-standing cast iron, for you to enjoy the atmosphere. Heating is thermostatically-controlled -- and you control the thermostat! Most have central heat, some have zoned/room heating systems. You'll always have a private deck or patio with charcoal grill, perfect for relaxation after a day of hiking. Living rooms include satellite color TV with video player. And you'll have convenient, on-site parking in your own driveway. NO sofa beds!

When you arrive in your unit, here's what you can expect: Kitchens have everything from flatware to cookware, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher powder (most units), set of kitchen towels, salt & pepper shakers (no other food for you to wonder if someone tampered with the contents). You'll need to supply food and condiments, specialty cookware for your signature dishes (sorry, we don't include pasta makers!), and napkins. Beds are freshly made; bath linens are provided, along with toilet paper, hand soap, and bath soap. We'll also have the heat on, so your unit will be comfortable when you arrive in cooler weather, and we'll provide fans if the weather is warm. Yosemite West is at a delightful elevation, with cool summer evenings, so homes are built without air conditioning. Plus with the mountain forest setting, you'll be able to open windows for nature sounds, such as birds chirping and squirrels chattering.
You'll need to provide your personal effects and toiletries, charcoal for the grill, firewood if you are in a cabin, cottage or vacation home, and your favorite cameras and camcorders. Cell reception is spotty in the mountains, but you'll find a landline telephone with free local calls in your unit. Flashlights are great, too, in case you are out on the trail longer than expected.
And, upon arrival at Yosemite West to register, you'll be greeted by our friendly staff, who can give you information on special events and happenings in Yosemite and surrounding areas.
